We are seeking to recruit an experienced echocardiography specialist to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Disease department and to serve as Medical Director of Echocardiography and Core Faculty in an ACGME accredited cardiovascular disease program and interventional cardiology program.

The 958-bed academic medical center and is central/southern West Virginia’s top health care provider with four hospitals and over 700 physicians. We are home to one of the highest volume heart programs in the nation. Multidisciplinary care is provided via a team approach with surgery, interventional and structural cardiology supported by professionals with advanced cardiac imaging skills in CT, MRI and ECHO. Our Heart and Vascular Center offers state-of-the-art advanced imaging and intensive care unit facilities that are supported by 8 catheterization labs, 3 dedicated vascular interventional labs and 3 EP labs.

Additional Requirements:

• MD/DO from an LCME or AOA accredited medical school.
• Board certified in cardiology and echocardiography.
• A minimum of two years clinical experience.
• Ability to obtain a West Virginia state medical license and DEA.
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges.
• Demonstrated interest and passion for teaching/academic medicine.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following:
  • Leadership experience in a cardiology imaging laboratory
  • Structural/interventional cardiology, cardiac MRI
  • Consultative services experience
  • Interest in development of a cardio-oncology service
  • Teaching/academic experience
