The Department of Emergency Medicine at this prestigious medical school on the Gulf Coast has an opening for Emergency Medicine faculty to work predominantly at one or at both of the University’s Hospitals, the Region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. There are also opportunities in our new Freestanding Emergency Department. Qualified candidates should be certified in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The Emergency Medicine program has interns/rotators, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant students, in addition to a mature Residency in Emergency Medicine. Additional training or academic experience in research, emergency ultrasound, EMS, simulation or operations is a plus.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Clinical management and comprehensive evaluation of inpatient neurological patients
- Clinical management and knowledge of the AHA Stroke Management Patient Care Guidelines.

- Interprets common laboratory, electrographic and radiologic findings and intervene appropriately

The Department of Internal Medicine, with this prestigious medical school on the Gulf Coast is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pulmonary/Critical Care provider to join the division of Pulmonary at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Responsibilities will include teaching students, house staff and fellows, patient care (outpatient and inpatient to include MICU care), performance of pulmonary related procedures, and basic and/or clinical research. Certification in Sleep Medicine is not required but is welcomed with opportunity to direct this service line in the future. The chosen candidate will join our division comprised of 7 faculty members and 6 pulmonary fellows. Faculty share weekend call equally and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research time, formal teaching at the COM undergraduate level, clinical educator role, etc.

The Department of Pathology is currently recruiting for a full time team- oriented faculty member with board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology to participate in surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy pathology. The opening is for an assistant/associate/ full professor on a clinician track. Subspecialty in GI or breast pathology is desired, but not required.
The Division of Anatomic Pathology handles about 17,000 surgical and 4,500 cytology cases a year and it is expanding rapidly. Molecular/ next generation sequencing, cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, FISH, and electron microscopy laboratories are part of the sophisticated menu of tests available. The hospital is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist (GI Hospitalist). This physician must preform advanced procedures. This position will support the Inpatient Gastroenterology needs for the hospital. This position will be a base pay, with RVU incentives. The hospital has a 72 bed ICU, and a large Endoscopy Suite. This position will work the opposite 7/7 schdule of our current GI physicain. The hospital offers the most advanced endoscopic procedures in North Florida and South Georgia. Whether it’s removing precancerous tumors in the digestive tract or placing stents that allow patients to eat again, our expert endoscopic surgeons offer a variety of gastrointestinal treatments.
Schedule: 7 Days on 7 Days off.
